I don’t know why. It’s bigger than my racecar. I need it. I need IDEAS!

I have a perfect chassis in mind for this.

meh if you’re going to go V12, take it to the max with a 37 liter Rolls Royce Griffon:

Buick Roadmaster wagon?
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:24 |

That isn’t down the road from me for $350 (which really means $250)
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:30 |

$350? Talk him down and buy it if you need it. They make great coffee table bases.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:32 |

Please do this.

As fantastic of an idea as that is, it’s a no. I was thinking maybe an S2000. Or perhaps a Miata.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:34 |
|
Miata swap? Miata swap.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:36 |
|
How about instead of a swap, put the V12 in the back and leave the LT up front?
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:38 |
|
Why. Why would you do this.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:39 |
|
Fun fact: That 5.3L v12 makes the same BHP as the 2.2L 4pot in the AP2 sk2.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:39 |
|
Yes. But then you have a V12.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:43 |
|
True.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:48 |
|
And roughly twice the torque over the entire rev range.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:48 |
|
You need the equipment to take this to 7.0 or beyond. If a professional race team can do it, clearly you can too!
Actually in all seriousness somebody needs to smash the 7.4L displacement record for these.

V12 on two wheels ala boss hoss?
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:55 |
|
Which is so nice. And fancy.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:56 |

Better off with Two Duratecs. Much more reliable and built ford tough :)
Or you could always import a JDM Toyota Century V12. Too bad they never offered a V12 LS
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:56 |
|
Wouldn’t just be easier to stick a seat on top and wheels underneath the engine?
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:57 |
|
Why wouldn’t you do this?
![]() 05/02/2016 at 15:58 |
|
V12 motorized barstool. You’re a genius.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 16:04 |

![]() 05/02/2016 at 16:08 |
|
Because 50/50 weight distribution...?
![]() 05/02/2016 at 16:12 |
|
But at that point, why not just a twin engined tube frame car?
![]() 05/02/2016 at 16:51 |
|
Every once and a while a good idea kicks loose and falls out of my head.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 16:51 |

Would it ever run is the question.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 16:57 |

I’m more interested in that siren next to it...
![]() 05/02/2016 at 17:04 |

looks like a Castle Castings siren. probably 10/12 port.
![]() 05/02/2016 at 17:04 |

Anything is possible, I’m sure you could fit a gallon of gas somewhere...
![]() 05/03/2016 at 07:01 |
|
Why
wouldn’t
you do this?
![]() 05/03/2016 at 07:09 |

I have actually thought about the Century V12. It’s nice, but it’s so low production and niche market that i’ll never find parts for it. Half of the Jag V12 is Jag AJ6, so parts and mods are easy to come by. Want a DOHC V12? Pick up a couple of AJ6 DOHC heads and bolt em on!
![]() 05/03/2016 at 07:10 |
|
Thinking about it. I just don’t know if I want this tank taking up space in my workshop simply so I can say I have a V12, so I can “donate” it to the right LeMons team, or to turn into a 300 lb table.
![]() 05/03/2016 at 07:12 |
|
Haha, I would keep it small displacement, get high-comp pistons, and switch it to AJ6 DOHC heads tor dem high revs.
![]() 05/03/2016 at 08:09 |

I think a coffe table à la top gear would be great.

damn thats cheap
